It’s get­ting worse every week. Blog posts, pre­vi­ously short, sweet and to the point, are becom­ing long arti­cles filled with images, movies and crazy col­ors that just don’t belong.

I under­stand that your com­pany prob­a­bly just moved to a word­press site and you think that pub­lish­ing via RSS is a per­fect way to get the word out. I also know that you real­ize pub­lish­ing par­tial feeds is annoying.

You MUST real­ize that many peo­ple read your blogs in read­ers. Yours is NOT the only blog we read. Please, do us a favor and tell your story in the LEAST amount of words pos­si­ble. Don’t use pic­tures that aren’t truly strik­ing. Don’t make me scroll and scroll and scroll down past pur­ple, red and blue text to get to the bottom.

Writ­ing a blog post is NOT the same as writ­ing an arti­cle. Save that fluff for your friends and family.
