Running in new shoes is the best way to break them in. There is no easy way to do this and it always hurts.
I can run eight miles. Seriously. Eight fucking miles in a row.
The prerequisite of training for a half marathon, six-plus months of running at least 15-20 miles a week, was something I really wish I had been a part of. I did the opposite by laying on my ass recovering from surgery.
My hips hurt more than I ever thought they could. What the hell is that about? Anyone have some good stretches for the hips? I have two and they don’t work all that well.
I am thisclose to achieving the single greatest athletic achievement in my life. Sure, I played high school sports and intramurals all through college, but none of them involved running for this long, this far, without breaks.
Achieving something is easier when you really want to achieve it. If only I worked this hard at finding a job…oh wait, I CAN.
