Success is never measured by stats

Success shouldn’t be measured by statistics.

No one cares how many events you put on. No one cares how many networking meetings you attend every week. No one cares how many people are in your address book.

Relationships + sales wins = success.

No matter what you say, where you go or who you know, it’s what you make happen that counts. Whether you count wins as sales made, clients signed or tasks accomplished, stop keeping track of everything else.

Win and no one will care about anything else.

I would adjust the formula slightly…

    Relationships + influence = success.

It is almost impossible to make things happen without influence.

Wouldn’t your relationships include influence already? How we achieved those relationships and what we can do with them is an important part of relationships themselves.

No. Most relationships are superficial and have very limited influence.

Perhaps this formula is more complicated than I thought. Need a calculus major in here.
