The Hello Bar is a simple web toolbar that engages users and communicates a call to action.

Stop focusing on how, start focusing on the what and why

The internet is a series of connected tools. It’s time to start treating it like that.

No more talking about Facebook. No more explaining Twitter. No more asking about connecting on LinkedIn.

Just talk. Collaborate. Learn. Listen.

We have daily, nearly real time access to the greatest trove of information ever known, yet all we seem to do is talk about who’s using which network, and how to do so.

Enough. Share ideas, hopes and dreams. Use all the tools. Don’t ditch tools and make a big deal about it.

It’s the Information Revolution. Do you want to be known as the person who knows all the tools or the person that USES them? Get it together and let’s make something happen.

Great points, T, all with which I agree. But would've liked to see practical examples of how you're using 'em all to “talk. Collaborate. Learn. Listen.” (I know you are).

Here are some ways I use the 'tools' (and I'm not that active or social – parent w/kids!)
    - seeing a pal tweet about being at a certain location and meeting him/her there
    - learning online about local PHX face-to-face events and hitting the signup
    - Surprising people by opening up face-to-face conversations with insights into their online lives
    - using the 'tools' to spark online relationships that lead to face time, business opportunities and more.

I thought about including those and will so later, but it's proving hard to me to explain exactly how I'm doing and/or what I'm doing while I'm doing it. These tools have changed my entire life (for the better) because I never took the time to question why, I just asked how.
