Is it possible to live (and thrive) while only shopping locally? Let’s find out.
For the month of January, while finishing my half marathon training which requires a higher intake of food than normal, I plan to shop for food from ONLY the Phoenix Farmer’s Market every Wednesday and Saturday. They have plenty of food of all kinds and even canned goods (tuna) should I need to store stuff for a while.
Sure, I may still go out to eat everyone once in a while, but I won’t be grocery shopping for food at Safeway. I assume I’m going to be healthier with more energy, but we shall see as of the end of this month.

Maybe you should just order all your food online and have it sent to a P.O. Box. That way you can run to the post office to get your food. Kill two birds with one stone.
Maybe you could teach me how to hunt for my own food. Oh wait…
Do you have CSAs there in AZ? Carter and his wife were “members” and had a crate of fresh produce delivered (although some you have to pick up) every other week. Many offer different options. In Seattle, there are a few ways to go:

I have been considering one of these options for awhile. I’m curious to see how your month goes.
