Whether rumors or stolen, nothing is off-limits for TechCrunch

Way to go, Michael Arrington. What is this, a tabloid? Your process journalism explanation is nothing but completely BS and you know it. You’re just lazy and want to be first.

Say you receive stolen documents. Do you shred them? Do you write about but not publish them? Do you publish some of them and make it seem altruistic to not publish them all? Yep.

What exactly is TechCrunch? Why are things like this okay?

This also brings into question the concept of the Suggested User List, as mentioned by Robert Scoble. You think the 800k+ followers that TechCrunch have will factor into how many of these secrets he publishes? Is it ethical for a real journalist to be granted such favor as the SUL?

Hey Tyler,

Had a similar discussion today with one of our fellow Brazen Community members (his post is featured today). I thought it was kind of surprising that someone took the time to post these. Anyone who knows Scoble knows that he's a party animal. Nothing new to report …

Those are the pics he was worried about? He was upset that techcrunch
hadn't posted them yet?

How old is too old to embarrass yourself on camera?

Techcrunch tends to turn my stomach every now and then. Just because I fear Arrington's power coupled with a seeming lack of journalism ethics.

His power is implied.

Anyone with access to a million readers shouldn't be taken lightly. Most newspapers don't have the kind of reach.

So popularity rules?
