I’m a runner. Not a great runner, but I do okay. My last 5k time was 24:45, last seven-mile time was a shade under 63 minutes, so as you can tell, I’m not THAT fast. But I bet I’m faster than you. AND I wear Vibrams.
You think you can beat me? Come race in the City of Hope’s Walk for Hope outside the Wet ‘n’ Wild in Glendale, AZ. If you don’t think you can hang in the 5k, there’s a 1.3 mile leisure walk you can do, with all proceeds going toward curing women’s cancer.
And even though I’m not a woman nor do I have cancer, I’m running because they asked me to and anytime someone asks you if you hate cancer, the answer is ALWAYS: YES, what can I do to fight it?
My part is running and challenging others to take me on in a fun, 5k race that may end up with you getting beat in a guy wearing crazy-looking toe shoes. Are you (wo)man enough to take me on?
Register here. Or don’t, because you like cancer.
(Disclosure: the race organizers waived my entry fee for what I assume is my awesomeness, but I would have totally called you out to race me had I paid the entrance fee, so bring it.)
