Linchpin Meetup 5/18 at 7pm at Gangplank

I’ve been a fan of Seth Godin for years. While I haven’t always agreed with him, and stopped reading his daily blogs for almost 18 months at one point, there’s no question that his ability to make me question why and what I’m doing is invaluable.

Now that I’m a part of his Domino Project Street Team, I get a bit more access to people like me and the ideas that this collective group of overachievers (I don’t put myself in that category) comes up with and executes. Just last week they completed an ebook (PDF link) about people who embody Steven Pressfield’s latest book, his first for the Domino Project, Do The Work. The next step after his much-love The War Of Art Linchpin Meetup 5/18 at 7pm at Gangplank, Do The Work is a kick in the ass for anyone who feels that their creative juice is something that needs to be refilled constantly.

Pressfield urges every creator to stop thinking of work as needing inspiration and that simply doing the work will act as all the inspiration any of us really need. His Kindle book is available for FREE until May 20.

All this has made me feel a bit inspired. The last two Linchpin meetups were quite successful, so I think it’s time everyone got together again. Come prepared to talk about challenges you’re facing, advice for others and, in general, help us solve a few nagging problems.

I don’t have a strict agenda at this point, so any feedback is appreciated. RSVPs are being handled by Meetup.com, so either follow our Seth Godin Meetup links or search for us.

The last time we met, I figured out what I really do for a living, Chase Granberry deciphered the real reason he doesn’t want VC money and a visitor from Washington D.C. was able to determine how to train his colleagues and employees for a new way of doing business.

If you like smart people and smart conversation, come on down for a few hours. We have cheap soda, a Circle K across the street and secure, covered parking about 100 feet from the door.

Hope to see you there.
