The quest for followers by folks seems like a holdover from MySpace & Facebook. I think it'd be interesting if Twitter made people's number of followers private. Bottom line, follow whoever you think is interesting and don't be too concerned with who or who isn't following you. I think it makes the whole experience more organic and enjoyable. Here, here!
