Although, I&#039;m cool with Twitter being mainstream. In a way, it shows it&#039;s proven its usefulness. I wish podcasting would become this mainstream. 

At any rate, regardless of the stupid Ashton and Oprah fodder, we still have the power to control who WE choose to follow. ;-)</description>

The quest for followers by folks seems like a holdover from MySpace &amp; Facebook.  I think it&#039;d be interesting if Twitter made people&#039;s number of followers private.

Bottom line, follow whoever you think is interesting and don&#039;t be too concerned with who or who isn&#039;t following you.  I think it makes the whole experience more organic and enjoyable.</description>
