Green as a buzzword is getting ridiculous. I know marketing departments need to hammer every term into the ground, but seriously, how many bad clichés do we need? Green this, eco-friendly that, environmentally-responsible blah blah blah.Â
Please stop. For one, most of the things you term as green actually aren’t. Natural floors, made from bamboo grown in Asia, assembled in Canada and sold in Arizona, isn’t green. Natural, sure, but it’s not sustainable and it’s sure as hell not environmentally responsible. Green means sustainable, greens means a small carbon footprint, greens means using producing goods with the least energy used and as little waste as possible.
Hey, at least this green movement is bringing awareness to the problem of sustainability in our country and abroad, I just don’t like it when companies twist green terms to serve their own agenda. Stop lying to us, we’re not stupid.
That being said, I wholeheartedly support this video and applaud them for truly thinking green.
