I ran a half marathon in January.
And I haven’t done a damn thing since.
I didn’t set any goals. I had nothing to work for, nothing to judge myself against and nothing to improve on. So I sat. I sat and did other aimless things. Sure, I accomplished tasks, but I didn’t improve. Anywhere.
Goals are important. They let us strive for something, they give us something to look forward to. Without them, how would you ever know what to aim for?
Being better isn’t enough. Being the best is.
What goals have you set? How do you measure success? What do you strive for?
Money? Fame? Satisfied customers?
