It’s no secret I’m not a huge fan of IgnitePhoenix. Regardless of their popularity or longevity, I believe they have lost their way.
That being said, I wish nothing but IgnitePhoenix the best. I’m happy that the organizers have been able to build something they’re proud of and that so many people find the event to be a worthy use of their time.
I think we can be better.
All Out is my answer. It’s not meant to be an anti-Ignite, nor do I have any hopes of it competing with IgnitePhoenix. All Out exists to give those who want it a more open forum to share their ideas and passions, without the content in their presentations being regulated by someone else.
The presentations were chosen by the entrants themselves in a semi-public way. There was no overall theme to the event. Presenters are completely on their own in creating and submitting their slides. There will be no food sponsors, as the audience will pay their way into All Out by bringing a dish to share.
Think of All Out as an Ignite one-off. A smaller, louder, NSFW version of what Ignite that hopes to kick you into doing something great.
