If your organization can’t communicate effectively using 50-year-old tools, then Social Media won’t help (@chadarizona).
Viral videos don’t work, people. Neither does engaging on Facebook or gaining followers on Twitter. Blogging either.
This assumes, of course, that you’re the type of business who never talks to their customers.
Take Apple. Long known for their secrecy, Apple doesn’t engage in any way whatsoever. They’ve done such an amazing job creating brand loyalty that we actually do their advertising for them.
Know of any big electronic companies involved in social media? Sanyo? Samsung? Me neither. Do we really need to have a relationship with whomever manufactures our TV?
Being involved isn’t a failure, it’s just another way.
