Focus on the message, not the medium. Focus on the quality of your work, not the environment you do it in.
It’s simple.
Stop worrying about how your blog looks. Stop worrying about where to post. Don’t fret about using a variety of file types. Forget about what kind of desk you have.
Just create great content, make it easy to share and repeat. And repeat.
Gangplank does this well. They have comfy chairs and normal desks. Fast internet. That’s it and that’s all they need.
Evo Terra does this. He records his podcast in a simple studio. He doesn’t pay for interviews or for producing. He just asks his friends and family to participate and they do.
Clintus McGintus and I just talked about this today. Forget cross posting and tagging multiple sources, just pick one site (your blog) and get it all on there. Good content will get around.
Stop wasting your time on how things look and focus on what they are. Make it great.

amen brutha!
Well said. Blogs, Twitter, Facebook, et al., aren’t the message, they are the instruments.
Well said man, you’ve had some great posts in the last few weeks – good to see you hitting your stride again – motivates me to blog more.
Feels good to actually make sense. Looking forward to more from you.
