Now that the term “hot off the press” is truly figurative (used to deem a story new, but newspapers are way behind breaking news now), what will take its place?
Any ideas?
My bet is that the simple saying “I heard” will replace it. Seriously. We are so connected on phones, computers and tech itself, most people don’t differentiate between reading a blog or an email, a phone call from an IM conversation or a text message from a status update.
We now have real-time access to real information. Imagine what the Berlin Wall coming down would have been like? Hell, what about 9/11?
