Different

There are those that stand out. There are those that disagree. There are those who aren’t swayed by the opinion of the masses.

They don’t need others like most do. They don’t count on your support, but you want theirs.

They aren’t like you. They are probably despised for it.

These people are free spirits, but not vagabonds. They are free thinkers, but not drifters. They are less egotistical than most think, and that’s because most people don’t realize what goes on in their heads.

These people believe ideas are meant to be shared, to be improved upon. Hoarding knowledge is a waste.

They are inspired by discovery, not recognition. They are driven by success, not admiration.

They are free in ways that most are not. They have the same responsibilities most do, but these things never get them down.

You want to imitate. Even emulate. You cannot.

They are smarter than you think. You need them.

Thought provoking. My favorite part, “They are inspired by discovery, not recognition.” This so holds true for myself :)

I’m flattered that someone thought of me to make a spoof post from me. It’s sad and antisocial, but sweet.
